CBD Drops or CBD Cream? Which should I try?

Have you ever seen anything rise to popularity at the rate CBD has? Why is CBD so popular? Why are so many people trying it? Why is it in everything from chocolate to dog shampoo?

CBD is the personal assistant of plants that’s why.

There are healing plants for all sorts of diseases that have been used literally forever. Adaptogenic herbs are the sort that adapt to what the body needs. For instance, sometimes our adrenals are revving to high, sometimes to low and an adaptogen will regulate the body back to health.

“...Adaptogens help balance in whichever way is needed. “…. Adaptogens are herbs, roots and other plant substances (like mushrooms) that help our bodies manage stress and restore balance after a stressful situation…….Experts believe that adaptogens interact with the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which initiates your body’s stress response and plays a big role in keeping your body in balance….” https://www.uclahealth.org/news/what-are-adaptogens-and-should-you-be-taking-them

Although CBD is not considered an adaptogen, it works the same way and has similar functions. “....Several studies have described CBD as a multitarget molecule, acting as an adaptogen, and as a modulator, in different ways, depending on the type and location of disequilibrium both in the brain and in the body….” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30627539

The long list of reasons to try CBD include different applications. There are topical CBD creams and oils and there are internal CBD products like tincture, capsules, gummies, drinks and so on. How do you know which one to try? Oh so many CBD questions!

Should I try CBD drops or CBD cream?

Consider the following when trying to answer that. If a person is using CBD for something systemic, such as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, seizures or internal inflammation, an internal product is an appropriate choice. Certainly it can be used for pain this way as well. If smoking is not your thing, there are many options at your local dispensary, online, in health food stores and beyond.

If a person is treating topical or muscular issues, a topical is a good consideration. CBD absorbs very well into the skin and goes to work on the affected tissue locally. This application is appropriate for pain, muscle aches, strains, cramps, tears, injuries, broken bones, arthritis, neuropathy, sciatica, pre and post surgery, dental work, plantar fasciitis, eczema, psoriasis, sunburn and so on.

CBD on its own is tremendous but when you mix it with complimentary herbs for different purposes it becomes a powerhouse.

With any application find a product that is organic, tested with easy access batch info, and definitely not synthetic. There are synthetic products out there that are considered dangerous.
